Hi,

I’m interested in an autocorrelator for characterising modelocked thulium fiber and waveguide lasers. Could you please provide a cost estimate, so that I can use it in a proposal I’m putting together.

Thanks

Qualifications

BSc: University of NSW (Hons1) 1991

PhD: Macquarie University 1997

Research Interests

I conducted my Phd at Macquarie University (The centre for lasers and applications) in experimental laser physics and worked in the area of 'line selective mid-infrared lasers'. In 1997 I moved to Houston, TX and worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Rice University for 3 years, developing portable difference frequency based trace gas sensors. During this postdoc collaborations were conducted with Aerodyne Research, NASA (Johnson) and NRL. In 2000 I took up a Research Scientist position with the DSTO (Defence Science and Technology) in Australia, and conducted research in the areas of lasers, electronic warfare, and electrooptical technologies.

In 2010 I have moved to the Institute of Photonics and Advanced Sensing at Adelaide University where I will continue and expand my research into fibre lasers, mid-infrared lasers, solid-state lasers, optical parametric oscillators, trace gas sensing, fibre fabrication, microstructured fibres, electronic warfare, and photonics for defence.
