YZ cut would be preferred. Our application is single molecule detection for DNA sequencing, and I’m in the process of investigating the performance of higher index materials for our technology. Because we are normally imaging through glass, a reduced thickness (~175 um or thereabouts) would be ideal.

We offer 2" LiNbO3 wafers with the following common specification

Crystal: LiNbO3
Working surface normal to Y-axis (+/-0.30 deg)
Diameter: 50.8 mm (+/-0.5 mm)
Thickness: 0.175 mm (+/-0.020 mm)
Flatness: TTV <= 7 microns;
LTV (5x5mm2; 95%; 2mm edge exclusion) <= 1.5 microns
Warp: <= 40 microns
Curie Temperature: 1133 - 1145°C (+/- 3 °C)
Frontside: Mechano-chemical mirror polished; No pits or scratches
Backside: Ra = 0,2 - 0,7 microns
Flat length: 32.0 mm (+/- 3 mm)
Flat orientation: perpendicular to Z axis (+/-0.30 degrees)
Edges: All edges rounded
